1. Controller and scope
This policy describes the processing of personal data through billetaxo.com by the operator of the Billetaxo brand, operating from the Dominican Republic. Privacy questions may be sent to soporte@billetaxo.com.
It applies to user accounts, Cuba top-ups and payments, exchange requests, support and claims forms, advisory services, and search or comparison tools on the site. When a user proceeds to an external platform, that provider’s privacy policy governs its own processing.
2. Data we process
We process only the information needed to provide, secure and document each service:
- Account and access: verified email address, the Google identifier linked to the account, account and last-login dates, and hashed technical session data.
- Top-ups: destination number, product, amount, payment method, reference, status, receipts and order-related communications.
- Payments to Cuba: sender and beneficiary identity and contact details, stated relationship, delivery method, amount, card or delivery-area details where applicable, quotes, captured rates, references, and payment and delivery status.
- USDT and DOP exchange: transaction direction, amounts, quoted rate, contact details, transfer references and documentation reasonably required to verify the transaction.
- Saved numbers and activity: contact label, Cubacel number, transaction history and BTX movements.
- Support and claims: name, email, reference, case description and any files or information the user chooses to provide.
- Use and security: IP address, user agent, technical events, error logs, language preference and signals required to prevent abuse or fraud.
Billetaxo does not request banking passwords, private keys or seed phrases. Users must not include them in forms, email or support conversations.
3. Purposes and legal basis
We use data to authenticate users; calculate, record and track transactions; save requested contacts; provide support; manage claims; award and audit BTX; send transactional notices; maintain security; comply with legal obligations; and improve the site.
Depending on the context, processing is based on performing a request or contract, the user’s consent, our legitimate interest in protecting and improving the service, and compliance with law. Billetaxo applies the purpose, proportionality, quality and security principles of Dominican Republic Law No. 172-13 on Personal Data Protection.
4. Providers and recipients
We may disclose limited data to providers involved in authentication, hosting, transactional email, fraud prevention, top-ups, payments to Cuba, payments, analytics or request handling. Google processes Sign in with Google under its own terms. Flight, hotel, car and eSIM providers receive information users enter directly on their sites after redirection.
Providers act under their own conditions or on Billetaxo’s behalf, depending on the service. We do not sell personal databases. We may disclose information when required by law, a valid order or a competent authority, or when needed to protect rights and prevent unlawful activity.
5. International transfers
Some technology and commercial providers operate outside the Dominican Republic. Where a transaction involves an international transfer, we seek to limit data to what is necessary and select services with reasonable contractual and technical safeguards. External platforms provide their own rules before users complete a booking or purchase.
6. Retention
We retain data while an account remains active or for as long as needed to provide the service, handle claims, prevent fraud and meet accounting, tax or regulatory duties. Account sessions ordinarily last no more than 30 days and may be revoked earlier.
When a purpose ends, data is deleted, anonymized or restricted for any legally required period. Cookie and third-party service periods are described in the Cookie Policy.
7. Security
We use access controls, encryption in transit, secure session cookies, request-forgery protection, rate limiting, event logging and backups. No system is infallible, so we review controls and limit internal access to operational need.
8. Individual rights
Individuals may request access, correction, updating, objection or deletion of their data, and may withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing. Requests should be sent from the account email to soporte@billetaxo.com.
We may request reasonable verification to protect the information. A request may be subject to legal exceptions, mandatory retention or third-party rights. Individuals may also complain to the competent authority in the Dominican Republic.
9. Minors
Accounts and transactional services are intended for people with legal capacity to contract. We do not knowingly collect a minor’s data to create an account or order a service. A representative who believes a minor provided data without authorization may request review and deletion.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect legal, technical or service changes. The effective date will appear at the top and material changes will be communicated through a reasonable channel.
