Short answer: the scheduled nonstop service we could verify between Havana and Santo Domingo is operated by Air Century and lands at La Isabela (JBQ), not Las Américas (SDQ). The published timetable shows HAV–JBQ departures on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. and Saturdays at 5:30 p.m., in local time and subject to change.
Verified airline and airport
When we checked official schedules on August 3, 2026, Air Century was the scheduled operator displaying this route. The airport distinction affects the whole arrival plan: JBQ is Dr. Joaquín Balaguer International Airport in La Isabela; it is not SDQ, Las Américas International Airport.
Before paying, make sure the booking says HAV → JBQ. If a hotel, driver or relative expects you at SDQ, correct the meeting point. Do not treat an old screenshot as proof of the current itinerary.
Published schedule and the most practical dates
| Flight | Route | Published days | Departure | Arrival |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AC 184 | HAV–JBQ | Tuesday and Thursday | 2:30 p.m. | 4:30 p.m. |
| AC 182 | HAV–JBQ | Saturday | 5:30 p.m. | 7:30 p.m. |
| AC 181 | JBQ–HAV | Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday | 7:15 a.m. | 9:15 a.m. |
Best dates for an easier arrival: Tuesday or Thursday reaches JBQ at 4:30 p.m. under the published schedule, leaving more daylight for a transfer and hotel check-in. Saturday can work for travelers unavailable during the week, but the expected 7:30 p.m. arrival calls for an evening pickup. “Best” here means a more practical schedule, not a guaranteed lowest fare.
Air Century states that all times are local and may change. Confirm the date, flight number and airport again in the booking engine before ticketing.
Baggage and total trip cost
Air Century’s schedule page says its fares include a 23 kg checked allowance plus a carry-on. Still inspect the rules attached to your fare because dimensions, extra pieces, restricted items and change conditions can alter the total.
| Cost item | What to verify |
|---|---|
| Ticket | Final fare, currency, taxes and change rules |
| Baggage | 23 kg and carry-on shown in the booking |
| Transfer | Pickup at JBQ, not SDQ |
| Accommodation | Latest check-in time and cancellation policy |
Requirements and checks before purchase
- Make sure the passport and booking use exactly the same name.
- Confirm the visa or entry authorization that applies to you with the Dominican Consulate.
- Do not buy a nonrefundable fare while entry authorization remains pending.
- Check HAV, JBQ, dates, local time and baggage conditions on the final screen.
- Save the record locator and confirm in writing who will meet you at La Isabela.
Completing a document list does not guarantee a visa or admission. This guide reports the published timetable; the airline and authorities retain their operational and immigration decisions.
