Short answer: American Airlines displayed MIA–HAV flights on its official route page when we checked. For August 2026 it showed round-trip economy examples from US$467 to US$627. These are observed prices, not a fixed fare, and baggage or optional-service charges may apply.
The airline we could verify
American Airlines’ official page offered the Miami (MIA)–Havana (HAV) route. We do not repeat airline lists copied from blogs or agencies because operators and authorizations can change. If another carrier appears in a search engine, open its official site and confirm it is selling MIA–HAV on your dates before relying on it.
A connection is not automatically better or worse: compare total time, airports, transit requirements and disruption protection. On this short route, a nonstop option generally removes failure points, but the final decision still depends on total price and conditions.

Baggage, seats and final price
The route page itself warns that baggage and optional-service fees may apply. We do not state one universal charge because it depends on fare, date, destination and traveler profile. Before paying, open the breakdown and record:
- the permitted carry-on allowance;
- first and second checked bags, including weight and dimensions;
- seat-selection costs;
- change and cancellation conditions;
- taxes and billing currency.

The second total can only be completed on the final screen. For two travelers, multiply per-person extras as well as the base fare.
A practical way to choose dates
- Search at least three days before and after your preferred departure.
- Compare round trips with the same stay length rather than mixing different trips.
- Reject any itinerary that fails entry or transit-document requirements.
- Add baggage, seats and transport to MIA and from HAV.
- Capture the breakdown only after opening the final price, then verify it again before payment.
The calendar checked showed several Tuesdays and Sundays from US$467, while other dates rose to US$497, US$502 or US$627. That supports testing nearby dates, but it does not mean one weekday will always be cheapest.
